Zotfest is a student organized film festival located at the beautiful University of California, Irvine. Previously known as Xzotica, directors of the Zotfest committee organize together ambitious students from various college majors into a productive atmosphere that works to bring life to UC Irvine's film community. In the collaboration between leaders of two active campus clubs, Zotfilm and FADA (Film-Art-Drama alliance), Zotfest has become a life of its own that constantly operates with the filmmakers at UC Irvine in mind.

Zotfest.com is built to be the major go-to resource regarding everything about the festival. Information on submitting a film, directions to the event itself as well a means to sign up for their mailing list and volunteer roster are all included into the design. It was essential to the members of Zotfest that the site be extremely easy to navigate but at the same time convey the sophistication and professionalism they are striving to achieve.  The web design is based on the print materials and logos.

Overview

The Santiago Creek is home to a diverse range of plants and wildlife. Located just outside of Orange County, CA, it is a breath of fresh air (literally and figuratively) from the congested, urban cities near by. The creek, however, is in danger of being destroyed thanks to the ever-growing problem of pollution, over-population and commercial expansion. The Santiago Creek Watershed Preservation and Restoration Project is a non-profit organization that helps to raise awareness about the issues surrounding this unique sanctuary by holding guided tours and festivals.

As part of a collaborative project for the University of California, Irvine: Digital Arts program, we were tasked with overhauling the project's weak online presence. We rebuilt the site from the ground up, taking advantage of Web 2.0 tools such as Facebook and Twitter in order for the group to reach a much broader audience.
